As we close out the Book of Mark, we are encouraged to live for something beyond ourselves and take greater risk for the name of Christ.
The Roman governor Pilate loved the crowd, caved in to the crowd, and crucified Christ - all for political and personal gain. The sad truth is that there is some of Pilate in all of us. But God has a remedy to save us from ourselves, and the crowds we so often love.
